Can You Say Canvas Frame?

I finally finished them all!!!! and I have to say I Love them, I want to make a really BIG one for the wall in my house (we'll see if that happens, you know how we crafters are about making stuff for ourselves).

NOW I have to get the stack of signs completed....ahh a crafters work is never done :) I am ready to get started, I will be getting them listed on Etsy and my website in the next few weeks. I went tho the Creative Painting convention here in Las Vegas. I am always counting the minutes until the show every year, it's where I go to get inspired. The year the show was half of what it usually is, a lot of vendors were scared to travel, a week of hotels,food etc. It is so scary when you are not sure(well we are never sure) if you are going to make your money back. The crowd was definitely down. I usually go to this show with a friend but,I was solo this year, the experience was not quite the same, but my shopping got done a lot quicker LOL.I got lot's of new stuff and new ideas, I had a good time.

Color Makes Me Happy,so I am on Happy Overload

I have been working on getting signs and canvas frames finished. My Super canvas opener worked so hard to open all of the canvas ( I am going to have her painting them in no time, if it was up to her she would be now).

They are stacked in my craft room and I just LOVE all of the color!!! tomorow I will do lettering on them . For some reason I feel the need to make each one different, as if the same saying never sells twice :)

New Canvas Picture Frames.....In The Works

I have been working on getting some canvas photo frames done. I bought a BUNCH of canvas to make frames and signs last week. I am having fun creating new ones. I am trying some different things,like hand stamping, I also want to try screen printing a design on them. I show you more pics when I get some done.

Got Some New Projects Finished today

Yesterday was,not very productive for me, Sabrina was not feeling well at all. anyone who know her,knows that she talks non stop well.....I did not tell her to stop talking once yesterday,which made me pretty ill myself (I have NEVER seen her this way) I really counted my blessings that I have a typically healthy child, because I'm not sure my heart could take it if she wasn't :(

I got up extra early to take her to the doctor as a walk in, we got there a little before 7:00am and we were still third in line.

This is what my poor baby looked like this morning.......not for that faint of heart.........

The doctor said she had a double ear infection,and pink eye. He gave us some eye drops ( the other stuff was not strong enough) and some antibiotics. She seems to be feeling much better,shes was playing and I had to tell her to stop talking for a minute, twice :)

During her nap I got some screen printing done. I made some aprons out of men's button down shirts, I made these this past craft show season,they were not screen printed,but I did well with them. here are some photos, I listed this one in my ETSY shop tonight,more soon.

The Parent Test?

I have been put to the test this week, Sabrina is starting to get better, I was feeling like we made it through the storm, and then.........Last night when I went to go check on her before I went to bed (to make sure she was still breathing,yes I still do that) I turned on the light and to my HORROR there was blood everywhere!!!
I think my heart stopped for a second before I figured out that it was a bloody nose (her first) it was all over her face,shirt,pillow, she must have thought she had a runny nose in her sleep and wiped it. In true mama form I went and got a towel and started cleaning her up (she was still sleeping) after I get most of it cleaned up I get her up,her nose still bleeding. While walking her in the bathroom, I face her to the wall so she couldn't see in the mirror, but as I was rinsing out the towel she saw the blood and lost it.
after about five minutes it stops,needless to say I forced her to sleep with me last night. I swear I sprouted twenty gray hairs last night.

New Project Gone WRONG

Last night I decided to try out a new apron pattern I got over a month ago, It is soo cute,but I is one of those patterns that does not have the pieces, it just has measurements, well..... needless to say my first try did not come out as planned. You would think that I would learn to use scrap fabric on my first try,but.....that would be waaay to logical.

Actually the neckline was the only problem. I had two rectangle pieces and all I had to do was sew at an angle,but.......I think I went a liiiitle too far. Less of an angle and I think I am in business.

here are some pictures of the NOT so fabulous, I had to crop out Sabrina's head, being sick, her hair has seriously not be combed since Saturday, in a couple of days she will have dread locks :)

Sabrina is feeling better,but still wakes up several times a night with her eyes "glued" shut. She does not cry anymore when I put the medicine in her eye,she is such a trooper.
