Custom Orders,Craft Shows, and Sick Kids.........

Don't work well together. This past couple of weeks have been INSANE!! IT is so funny that when you start to get all the things you wish for...you want it to slow down.

I did Art in the Park Craft Show two weeks ago in Boulder City.the weather was WINDY! The crowds seemed to be down, but it was a great show as always :) I spent the entire week before completing orders from the Candy Dance Craft Show, So even staying up morning, noon, and night I still did not have time to get much more inventory done So......... I took prepped canvas, and my paints, and did custom orders right there at the show! Wow was that a lot of work, but it was fun.

Here are some pictures of my booth

.

For the past two weeks I have been "slowly" working to get ready for the Village Venture Craft Faire in California next weekend.Sabrina just went back to school today, she has been sick since Sunday. I have been trying to take it easy, fighting a not so great feeling myself. Even through all of this I have been coming up with some new canvas frame ideas that I will be unveiling at the California show...... but I will give you a sneak peak in a couple of days :)

Home Sweet Beautiful,Fabulous,Relaxing Home

Did I mention I am happy to be home?

So I have fallen off the face of the earth for a bit so let me get you updated :)

I just got home from the Candy Dance Craft Faire, I had a Fabulous weekend.I saw a lot of old friends,it is amazing how my craft buddies become extended family, I think Sabrina has more new friends than I do. We got soo lucky and two of our neighbors also brought their young kids.

Sabrina did great all weekend, I am so proud of her, being a craft show kid is not always an easy job (especially for a four year old) there is a lot of sitting still involved :)

Here is a picture of my booth. I was in the same space as last year, but somehow this year I got a tree in my front door, I was worried at first, but it didn't seem to make a difference.

I can't take Sabrina to a craft show without getting her face painted, She was a happy camper and spent a lot of time going to visit Squeaky the clown.

Being my child,Sabrina has found her entrepreneurial spirit, and deiced she was also going to have a "sale." During set-up she sold grass leaves...yes I said grass leaves, and she sold 4!!!!! here is a picture of her and her first customers Rachel and Kelly of The Urge to Adorn. We met them last year, the sell Awesome belt buckles check out their website.

Sabrina Also signed her first autograph this weekend, it was sooo cute, a lady asked her if it was her on the sign and asked for her autograph, she probably regreted it after (four years old don't write fast)

So now I am back home and Faced with the reality that I have about 30 orders to fill in four days AND get more inventory ready for Art in the Park this weekend. Wish me luck.

No rest for the Wicked.........

ooops I mean weary :)

I am STILL so tired from the Harvest Festival, I know it does not sound like work, but standing on your feet and smiling all day is tough.
I had sooo much fun, it was a great time hanging out with my friends and meeting some new ones BUT,,, My favorite part was all of my ETSY peeps who came out to meet me. I felt like a mini celebrity :) I know I stalk the shop local section, but it was so fun to see how many people follow my work.

Now I am back to reality, and I have orders to get done (no complaints here).
Yesterday I received my space assignment for Art in the part craft show in Boulder city. I got an AWESOME space # 388 (across from the stage)it has shade most of the day :) So for those of you that I talked to this weekend your orders will be ready for pick up at the show.

If you would like a custom frame contact me with the details and I can have it ready for you at Art in the park. I can also take your orders at the show and ship your holiday gifts, $8.00 any size frame,4.50 any additional frame to the same address.

Hellooo...echo...echo... is anone still there?

I have not posted on my blog for a month!!! I definitely thought about posting, but always started doing other things. please forgive me for neglecting my blog.

It has been so crazy around here, my house is looking more like a warehouse right now. I have boxes stacked with finished with canvas picture frames. The Harvest Festival is next weekend.

I have been working like a crazy woman to make sure I have enough inventory for this three day show. I have put off sewing, and now I have a week! fear has set in:) I want to finish all of my painting before I touch the sewing machine. Last night I stayed up until 2a.m. painting 35 16x20 canvas frames. It is so hard to determine what the mot popular quotes are going to be (I like them all :)
Here are some photos of the current state of my house (OK the parts I will let you see :)

Finally! getting some new Canvas frames finished

I feel like I have been moving in slow motion lately, Things I used to finish in no time are taking me forever!
Here are four new frames that I will be listing in my ETSY shop today. I have to say that my favorite is the adoption quote. I have a lot of new quotes that "I plan" to go on frames today

Divas are not mad, they are born

I never thought I could fall in love again until you were born

I didn't come out of my mother, I don't have my fathers green eyes. No one in my family looks like me, people are always surprised. I think we're a happier family than if we were kings and queens. We're so lucky we all found each other that's what being adoptd means.

Cross your heart hope to die, clothes and make-up boys and lies forever there till' the end. The definition of best friends.

Computer issues and other DRAMA

SO, I always thought my computer and I had a LOVE/LOVE relationship, but little did I know that my computer was harboring ill feelings towards me!

Two days ago My Internet was not working , I decided to restart my computer .......little did I know it had no plans of coming back on, over and over I tried, but it would not boot up, I got the dreaded back screen. MY HEART STOPPED!!!!! All of the pictures of my baby,my business pictures,my documents!!!!! I went to breakfast with a friend that morning, but all I could think about was my second child (LOL).

I called Best Buy, it was going to cost me $69.00 just to diagnose the problem. I called Gateway, it was going to cost me $79.00 for 30 minutes over the phone,$129.00 for 90 minutes, Needless to say the answer to that was NO!!

I got on my other lap top(yes, I have another one,but it has nothing on it). I had to set up my air card for Internet, checked my Pay pal (had to confirm account on this computer) checked my bank account(had to confirm account)......... you get the picture, it was work to get anything done.
I searched the net to try to fix my computer myself, NOTHING WORKED. Finally I just broke down in tears, and when I pressed the button IT WORKED!!!!
The minute I got on I started saving pictures and files (5pm yesterday) and I am STILL saving files.
I know my friend Denise is laughing right now, She was always telling me to get all of the pictures of my computer. There are literally thousands, I never throw anything away, until now.
You would think I would have learned a lesson, considering this is not my fist computer crash.
well I am off to save more files.

BTW- I have invested in a backup service :)

Canvas Sonogram picture frames....with a twist

Yesterday morning I was working to get some special orders finished before the mail man came, I took a second to take a picture so I could show you what I was working on, and the great Ideas my customers have.

This is was an order for two sonogram picture frames, but instead of my usual "love at first sight" saying, she wanted one to say "can't wait to be in Nana's arms" and the other to say "Honey's first grand baby"

I hope they love them!

Remember, that I can make picture frames that say anything you want on them, the possibilities are endless,so get creative!

School's out for SUMMER

Today was such an exciting emotional day!My baby graduated from pre- school, I couldn't help, but think that sooner than I want it to be she will be graduating form High school. Here are a few pictures of the event. She did sooooo good singing her songs with her class. I asked her if she was nervous, she said "no mommy, I'm brave".
Most of the kids in her class will be going to kindergarten this year.I am sooo bummed that her Birthday is in December, she she has to wait a WHOLE year. I have been on the hunt for a new pre-school.

Just a little something mamma whipped up

So ...... tomorrow is Sabrina's pre-school graduation, all of the moms at Sabrina's school decided they wanted the girls to wear blue dresses for graduation...um.....yeah finding a blue dress proved to be a not so easy task, so as I was getting ready to drive across town to another store... LIGHT BULB!! I can Sew!!

I went home and whipped up this little number, I wanted it to be a simple summer dress (it's preschool graduation not prom :) All of this came from my stash excepth the ribbon around the middle, I did not have one wide enough. I don't even know if this is the right blue, but heck it's blue.

Believe it or not this is only the second dress I have ever sewn for her..bad crafty mom.
