Totally not on task!!!

For all of you inquiring minds..... the wall is not finished yet, ok.. it does have some photos up for the shrine to Sabrina, but I am looking for a round, or oval frame to complete the look.

I haven't been working very hard on it,because I have yet another thing to occupy my time!! When we went shopping on Friday, I became the proud new owner of a Nikon D40, My first professional (semi professional) Camera. the photos are so crisp and clean!

I read the manual, went to the book store and got a book about the camera and read that. For those of you laughing right now, I CAN read I just choose not to! I used to have the excuse when I was in college that I save my reading skills for required reading, but now I have to admit that I am just not fan of reading........ok except blogs (short term commitment)

So after spending soo much money on this camera I have discovered that to take the photos with the effect I want, I need another lens that cost several hundred dollars!!! What is a poor broke girl to do???

For now I am going to practice with what I have, there is a lot to learn!! I have a wiling subject in Sabrina, any time I pick up the camera she is posing.

stay tuned... am I working on the house? Playing with the camera??? finding another project???

How fun for you! All I got was up all night and lots of fun toys for the kids! Cool, You and Kent should get together. He wanted to buy me a new camera for Christmas. I said no there are other things I want.

You crack me up!!!! First of all, I have never heard you say you read the manual for anything...you are like me (trial & error). I can just picture you all studious and focused.

This has my curiousity flowing, what is this special effect with her camera that Rochelle is so into???

Can't wait to find out.
Did you read my blog for yesterday? I stayed up until 4am, but I made 19 pins for orders!!!
I'm crazy too:o)

Robbie,
I don't think I have ever read a manual in my ife (i'm like a man that way) I will spend hours getting it wrong, just so I don't have to read LOL.
go to google and type in bokeh, and you will see some of the pics I like, they are focused in one area and bured in the background.
I have to go read your blog now.

I know it's a gift but,the stuff to buy it is called money of which does not need to be spent on unnecessary things.

I got some killer deals at the Disney store! and Kohl's Rissa was pretty much done, It was Hunter who needed presents. Poor boy always gets left out.

First, great camera. We are a Nikon family. My husband is professional and will only use Nikon. He has the D100, which is specifically professional--it is made to take the abuse of a photographer who uses it everyday--he does not.
I got all kinds of promises that everybody would be up on Black Friday, but alas, I was up all alone. I got the big Cricut for $199 and (yikes) ten cartridges. I got my son a huge air compressor. That was a comedy of errors. I am taking all three kids on a cruise in January, so I always promise not to buy them too much. I lie! There will be a million packages under the tree. I bought my husband a Playstation 3 even though we already have one (and every other system out there), so he can use it in the family room rather than having to go up to the tv room. Poor thing. He has no idea. I have asked my three guys to split the cost of sponsoring a rescue horse for a year as my gift. I really don't need anything, and my passion is animal rescue.
I am dying to see pictures of your finished house.
Smiles,
Mary-Beth
