Better Late than Never

I participated in the Festival of Communities at UNLV this past week. It was not the best show for crafters,but I made some sales and had a great time, One of my best friends came out that I had not seen in a couple of months (time just gets away).I also saw a friend that I have not seen since she moved away in high school, I posted that I was going to be at UNLV on facebook and she came out to see me :) I LOVE facebook.

So Now I am getting ready (well supposed to be getting ready for) Spring Jamboree in boulder city.

Last Minute Crunch Time

Today has been a crazy hectic day. It is my dads birthday tomorrow, he is 72!!! so we took him out to lunch.and then I raced home to start working on the toddler ties I wanted to finish for the festival of communities tomorrow. Leave it to me to wait until the last minute,but I work best under pressure.

I finished 14 ties start to finish, I love them! since I worked for hours finishing them, every crafter knows that that is my guarantee that I will not sell one :) HA HA. Ideas have been swirling around m head for cool little girl ties (since I don't have a boy). aaahhh... it will have to wait until next week.

Sneak Peek

So all of you people out there with cool baby boys... I have heard your pleas :)

Here is a sneak peak of the new product line that I have been working on, Toddler ties!! I brought them out at the craft show his weekend. I am going to make them to match all of my little guys hats I will also be adding holiday sets, for those holiday pictures :)

I will be posting them in my ETSY shop this week.

Is there a key to organization?

If so can I borrow it from someone who has it? My idea of organization is stacks of papers, I have a pile for bills, a pile for craft show applications, a pile for stuff I need to get back to ASAP...you get the idea. But now I have so many skillets in the fire right now my "system" is not going to work for me for much longer.
I tried to have a white board, and wrote down a list of things I need to do,but I manage to follow it for about a day.
I have gotten myself a MASSIVE amount of folders and labeled and am now using flex files for all of my different craft shows and things I am working on....keep yuor fingers crossed.

Soooo.. about those skillets in the fire :) I am so excited to have so many things going on, I'm telling you I function so much better with crafty chaos. My Rockin' crafty buds and I have started a chapter of the craft Mafia. We are the official Vegas Craft Mafia!! we have yet to have our first official meeting, but we need to get in gear. We have invited a few people to join us, we want to pool our resources and promote each others business.
I am also heading up a new craft show with my friend Robbie in down town Las Vegas at the Neonopolis, I am so excited about this show, it is called 2ND Saturday a craft affair you can read more about it on our Vegas Craft Mafia Blog. We are doing the show in conjunction with the newly opened Art Center. Art and craft can be friends and we hope everyone will come out support our event every 2ND Saturday, this month was a lot of fun.
My friend Denise and I are making plans for our Show & Tell Crafters Market this Fall, We have two shows scheduled.
on top of all of this crafty goodness I am getting applications sent out for other shows, I hope to participate in.
I have been working on some cute new things, I will post pictures soon!

The Long Overdue Winner Is.....

OMGoodness! it has been a long time since my last blog post, and even longer since my contest ended and I never picked a winner. For the past four days I have been saying "I am going to do that tonight" So we are going to pretend this is last Wednesday :)
Thanks so much to all of you who have e-mailed and commented to check in on me. My did is feeling OK,still in pain, and my mom is going to the doctor everyday for tests,but she is feeling fine.
I am finally feeling my Internet mojo coming back, I have not touched my blog or twitter in forever (4 days) LOL. I just have not felt like doing much (people who know me know I still do a ton when I say that :) but I have a load of whites that have been washed 4 times, SERIOUSLY! I am putting them in the dryer now.

My crafty stars have aligned and I have so many good crafty things going on lately! I will update you all this week.

BUT... what you all have been waiting for, The winner of my Yes, i am the cutest thing canvas frame is J.J.
I took every ones advice and used Random.org to pick a winner, Whew Thanks LOL

SOOO my day started off good...

Sabrina Had a field trip for school this morning to the Natural History museum, she loved it! After the field trip I took her out for ice cream (yes, real ice cream Robbie:) It was so cute she kept saying "this is the best day ever, mama". We got home about 1:30 and called to tell grandma about the day, My dad answered the phone...rare, He said he was sick and asked if I could take my mom to her Dr. app. at 3pm.

Back story- Saturday my mom said she was having vision problems and could only see out of the bottom part of her left eye, and the top part was black!!!

OK, so I took my mom to the Dr. and they told us she had a stroke in her eye!!! and her vision would not come back, he wanted her to see a retina specialist ASAP, so at 4:15 I raced her across town to this Dr. that would close at 5pm ( did I mention we were dragging Sabrina along).
My mom calls to check on my dad, and he was getting loaded into an Ambulance!!!!!!!
Anyone who knows me,KNOWS I am falling apart by this time,but totally holding it in for my mom and Sabrina.

AGGGHHH!!! My mom had tons of tests done and along with this stroke,they kept asking if she had ever be diagnosed with glaucoma. She has to go to her primary Dr. tomorrow.

We finally left there and I had to feed my child that had not eaten anything except ice cream and a cookie since breakfast. We called my dad, and he found out that he had Kidney stones! After eating we went to pick my dad up at the hospital ( had to wait about an hour, I sat in the car so Sabrina could sleep), and I finally got Sabrina home and in bed at 10:00 p.m. My parents really need to take turns falling apart!

now I can have my mini breakdown, So I can be a "ROCK" tomorrow.

ahhh what a day, what a day.
